Simple, functional, and modern—that's the new Marina style. A clean color palette—black, white, and blue—and the iconic sandwich dial. In the early 1950s, the name "Luminor" indicated a new luminous material designed to replace the Radiomir used in World War II-era watches. According to Panerai, the new Luminor Marina continues this development, incorporating "high-performance Super-LumiNova"… What does that mean? Well, to be more precise, the brand has used white SLN luminous material on the sandwich dial and hands, which glows green in the dark. This isn't revolutionary in itself… but in terms of design, it signifies a return to creating a modern Luminor Marina watch, a departure from the often-battered "copycat" style. A return to basics.
The Panerai Luminor Marina 44mm PAM01313 watch features a classic stainless steel case with a brushed surface and a polished bezel. Measuring 44mm in diameter and 15.65mm thick, it qualifies as a large watch. A hallmark of the Luminor collection, the crown is equipped with the brand's signature safety lock mechanism, which, along with the screw-down caseback, ensures 300-meter water resistance. The watch is presented on a blue alligator leather strap and includes an additional blue rubber strap.
The PAM01313's dial is a sophisticated deep blue with a sunray finish, contrasting strikingly against the white dial and giving the watch a modern and dynamic look. Its layout adheres to the brand's classic design, with engraved numerals and hour markers, baton-style hands, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock. As a modern watch, it features a date display at 3 o'clock.
The PAM01313 is powered by the renowned automatic movement, the P.9010, developed and manufactured in-house by Panerai. Thanks to its twin-barrel construction, the movement boasts a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. A particularly useful feature of this movement is the ability to quickly adjust the hour hand, advancing or retreating in one-hour increments, while also adjusting the date simultaneously – a particularly useful feature when traveling.
